OK, so I won't be getting it any time soon, but... does anyone have any thoughts about what Nikon to get?? I have looked at the D5000, the D90, and the D300 and the questions that come to me are:

1. price vs. features, the D5000 seems the logical choice, but are there any strong advantages for the D90 over the D5000... for example, the D5000 seems a touch small in my hands, but I am sure I could get used to it. I am told that the image quality is equal, with a bit of a frame rate sacrifice for the D5000, which I don't THINK will bother me either

2. is it better to save for the D300 or settle for the D90/D5000... I really would love to get back to photographing more, but don't want to get stuck with a camera that I won't want to use outdoors... As I understand it the D300 has weather seals that the other two lack, so if anyone has any advice around that please jump in!

3. other things I have not thought of... because there are always things that I have not thought of....
